      Mauser Barrel Removal

I assumed a gunsmith, but I was hoping somebody might know of one who had a Mauser action wrench handy, or perhaps just someone on this forum who had removed their own barrel once before. I’m in Bloomington. Thanks

      WTB: Mauser

Looking for a Mauser for a project. Caliber doesn’t matter, prefer a “non-sporterized”. Would prefer a Turk, anything will work but just cannot use a Yugo. Thanks text 812-three 25-2245

      WTS/WTT: Ruger LCP - LNIB $200

For sale is a Ruger LCP .380. Gun holds 6+1 rounds, and is double action. This pistol was my wife's, and has a very low round count, as it spent most of its life in her purse. This is a later generation serial number, with the taller sights and smoother action. Gun comes w/box, 1 magazine...

41F, How big of a deal is it where you live?

Then that answers my question. Things I have read on other forums lead me to believe this was the major drawback of 41F (besides the obvious further infringement of 2A).

41F, How big of a deal is it where you live?

I should have prefaced my question by mentioning that I'm speaking mainly to those using a trust to avoid the local check.

41F, How big of a deal is it where you live?

Ok, I'm fully prepared for a little flaming on this one, but is 41F really a big deal, where you live? My Dad and I both have NFA items, and we both went the Individual route with fingerprints and the background check at the local level. Besides the wait it wasn't a big deal at all. I...

      Looking for carry 9mm. Suggestions?

I had a chance to hold all the big name single stack carry 9mms (ok, not all) side by side, and even though I wanted soooo much not to like the Shield, it was by far my favorite. I bought a StealthGear holster and some fiber optic sights, and couldn't be happier. I did buy the model WITH the...

      Suggestions for a .308 rifle?

The 700 would be the only thing I'd look at. If you want economy, go with the SPS.

      Squirrels

I have a degree in wildlife biology, so I'm embarrassed to know as little about squirrels as I do, but there is a forth variety that I remember we always referred to as "Pineys" when I was growing up. They were small Greys that were far more skittish and aggressive than other squirrels, and I...

      Electric Chainsaws?

Having a couple of chains is very good advice, but you should also pick up a round file next time you're at the store. I worked cutting trees in the woods of Vermont (think Maine, but smaller scale) during the summers while I was in college, and all of those guys always carried a file on their...

      Home defense shells and choke

I always heard rock salt was good for this as well, but I read an article on the Box 'O Truth website that made me think differently about using it. The Box O' Truth #33 - Rock Salt in a Shotgun - The Box O' Truth

Muzzle brake recommendations please!! Just bought my 1st bolt action .308

I think this is the real motivation behind most breaks on rifles... I'm convinced the reason people put cool breaks on the front of AR-15's is to hide the dainty little .22 cal hole in the end of the barrel :)
