I have two guns for sale. -A .38 snubby that has a stuck cylinder/trigger. The hammer has tension but doesn't stay back. Loud explosion/noise in Indianapolis just before 5 am?

Am I the only one who heard this? Just before 5 am this morning (Monday) my wife and I were woken up by a loud booming noise, shortly after which our power flickered. Nothing can be found on the news, anyone else hear this?:n00b:

Homemade Vinegaroon Leather "Dye" w/ pics

I have been messing with leather for some time, and decided to try my hand at dying it. I don't want to spend money on things, it just goes against my sense of "do-it-yourself". That being said, I discovered an online tutorial on making "Vinegaroon", an old-fashioned method to turning leather...

      Need to borrow a PPK...

I'm planning on making a IWB holster for a friend for christmas, but need something to form the leather to. Does someone have a Walther PPK that I can bum off you for a half hour or so in the Kokomo area? The gun will be completely protected during the molding process. Or better yet, does anyone...

Good places to rappel 'near' to central Indy?

Hello all, I have recently been getting into climbing and rappelling, and am getting sick of practicing ascending and rappelling to and from 20 ft. tree branches. Are there any decent places with 20 ft. to 50 ft. cliffs/overhangs within a few hours or less of Indy? Thanks again! -Dave

Does Williamsburg Plantation, VA allow guns?

I am going to VA this summer for vacation, and will be staying at the Williamsburg Plantation. I have a non-resident Virginia CHL so carry in general is not an issue, however Virginia does put the weight of the law behind signs posted by businesses, etc. Does anyone know if the Williamsburg...

Anyone have a paintless dent removal kit?

Does anyone have a paintless dent removal kit I can borrow? I dented someone's van. It is a shallow dent, only visible by placing a glare on the door. The paint is not effected at all, there is simply a buckle in the door. The dent is maybe 4 inches in diameter, but again, is very shallow.

WTS: Old machinists tools (reamers, taps, end mills, counter-sink bits, etc.)

A friend of the family has been sitting on a deceased spouse's machinist tools for several years. She is now interested in selling some, and gave me a small box as a feeler to see what sort of interest there is. I thought I would post here first and give other INGOers a chance. These will be put...

      legality of homemade slidefire stock?

I am curious as to the legality of a homemade slidefire stock. As far as I am aware, as long as the device itself is legal to own/use, it should be legal to make at home as long as it is not for the purpose of making a profit (due to patent infringement or whatever it is called). Anyone have a...

How do I test my starter in my truck?

My truck won't start. I turn the key, and it clicks once. I tested the battery, it's fine. I checked the wiring, and found a spot where it had been a little melted by the exhaust manifold. I replaced the wire with a new one, and the same problem: one click. Can I have someone try to start the...

I tell him that...

My saiga 5.56 is putting dings in brass...reusable?

My saiga puts dents in the brass as it ejects, I believe from the casing hitting the charging handle. Will a resizing die remove these dents or are the casings scrap? Thank you for your time. http://www.mediafire.com/i/?tzjttegu19capkt

      Attn Motorheads: Need brake help

The front left caliper on my '98 F-150 is frozen. From what I am able to determine, after a short drive I catch a pleasant wiff of something unpleasant and the front left tire/rim/caliper/rotor is much hotter than the front right ones.
