      Tonsillectomy

      My Mother's friend, back in the 30's, used to paint her tonsils with iodine every time she got a sore throat. On an infrequent doctor's visit, he asked her when she had gotten her tonsils out. Musta eaten them up little by little. By the way, what are tonsil stones?

      We had a house fire a couple years ago, and needed to get a few guns refinished. The two that didn't need anything had been painted with Rustoleum. And of course, fingerprints won't hurt it a bit.

      Mauser Barrel Removal

      It could be done by any gunsmith with the correct bushing for his wrench. About any gunsmith who works on centerfire rifles would have what's needed. The barrels are usually bolted down on a heavy bench or I beam using the bushing that fits, then the handle is bolted to the receiver. Not likely...

      Nipples stuck in an older Percussion Shotgun

      You can also soak nipples/breech plugs in diet coke. Whatever they put in that stuff cuts the crud real well without deteriorating the metal.

      Shotgun question

      I have seen "Volunteer" brand shotguns. They could be identified by the shape of the receivers as having been made by Savage.
