Don't know about the rest of you, but this year's changes to the Quail season sure caught me off guard!
1. Season now opens on November 1st instead of the normal 1st Friday after the 1st Tuesday
2. The North/South Division which used to be State Road 26 has now been moved to I74...
Cut my teeth varmit hunting with a .222. It seems like these days that this caliber is pretty much obsolete. Rifles chambered in .222 are getting harder to find, but they are out there. In my experience, have found the .222 to be good out to 200 yds and quite a bit quieter than the 22-250.
If so, have you been out this year? Have you had any success?
