So I recently purchased this rifle from a women whos husband had died about 5 years ago. Outside of the rifle looked good and at the time I didn't know how to remove the bolt to inspect the barrel. When I got it home and did some research I was able to remove the bolt and look down the barrel to...
Welcome to the Milsurp Discussion Lounge! My favorite part about the firearm hobby is military surplus and other older/collectible guns. To that end, I was hoping to create a place for the ongoing discussion of all things milsurp.
I did a few searches and didn't see anything like this on the...

I have a 1955 Mosin Nagant M44 model I would like to sell. EDIT: I was wrong, it's a Romanian model not a Finnish model. Very nice rifle overall and holds special place in my heart. It was the first rifle I ever bought. It has its wear like most Mosin's do. Has a little bit of surface...
I am looking to do some custom work on a family member's Mosin-Nagant. Some pictures from ya'll would be great for ideas. Some of the stuff you see on the grand ol' interwebs is a little excessive.
I've recently decided to put my hand in the milsurp bucket. Due to my tendency to lean toward the less common I have set my sights on a Dragoon Mosin. I would really like to pick one up but can't find one ANYWHERE, find a lot of "ex-dragoons" but no originals. Anybody her know where I can...
TRADED
I have up for trade a Mosin Nagant. I've had it for about two years and have not fired it. So I'm looking for something else. The bore is clean and the rifle is in good overall condition. I tried to get a picture of the bore but it didn't come out too good. This gun will come with the...

I have a Mosin Nagant rifle and an unopened spam can plus an open can with around 200 rounds in it. It will come with a bayonet, ammo pouch and I think I have the oil can too. No pictures but its a standard Mosin, no sniper, nothing fancy. Crown is ok, stock is ok for what it is...

I went shooting last week with some relatives and one of them took up the task of putting 100 rounds through my Mosin Nagant. When we were done we noticed this nice crack.
I would really like a few opinions on whether this is repairable or not before I do anything with it.
I'm having a small problem with my mosin-nagant and have some pictures to help explain.
I noticed that after cycling a few rounds there would be a build up of copper wash on the lip of the firing chamber, as outlined in picture number 1
I thought it might be from a sharp edge or metal file...
I purchased a 1955 mosin nagant at the January 2014 Indy 1500. The gun is in good shape except for the wood stock. I am looking for any instructions on the full disassembly of the rifle so i can refinish it.
SOLD
1942 91/30 Izhevsk Mosin Nagant. I pulled this rifle out of a crate covered in cosmoline, cleaned it, and have put 200-300 rounds through it and cleaned it thoroughly after every time it has been shot. The muzzle is not counter bored. No rust. No pitting. The barrel is in immaculate shape...
Okay so technically it's not my 1st Mosin.
That one was sporterized & well used....it shot pretty good groups depending on how close you held the muzzle to the target.
That one left me a bad impression on Mosin's in general.
So after joining up here at INGO & reading all the Mosin threads...
