      keeping mags loaded?

      Alright guys, So I always hear these "rumors" about keeping your mags loaded; with the spring being fully compressed for long periods of time it will cause problems in the spring resulting in malfunctions like misfeeding issues. Has anyone else heard this? what do you think about it?

      M&P 45c Slide Spring

      When driving I keep my handgun unloaded and the slide locked open. I do this so I can load and chamber the first round quickly if needed. Will this weaken the slide spring if locked open all the time?
