    I was betting that it was unsportsmanlike conduct.

    I'm not above that, but this time it was unintentional stupidity instead of intentional stupidity.

    After I shot the stage with the windows in the back-to-back bays, it happened during unload/show clear. Mongo404 gave the command, I dropped the magazine, and then for a reason still unknown to me, I put the magazine on the ledge of the port instead of in my pocket the way I usually do. When I did it, my hand or arm passed in front of my muzzle, which means I was not fully aware of either where my muzzle was pointing or what I was doing with my support hand. Inexcusable, my fault, my responsibility, and the DQ was warranted.


    I was planning on having a raging temper tantrum on the next stage for my DQ.

    Thank you to Mongo404 for being an attentive RO and helping me learn to be more careful.
