You can find used Stevens, Savages, Springfields, even older Winchesters for 100 bucks fairly easily and they do work...they work very well in most cases. Of course these will be fixed choke, long barrel (28 inch normally), 5 round capacity guns but they are not hard to find in Indiana. Often the blueing will be very worn and the stocks rough be completely serviceable. I think I could probably go pick up 4 or 5 today if I wanted to. I know the local pawnshop often has a couple in stock tho this time of the year can be a little tougher with deer season. After Christmas is a great time to shop for them.

A few months ago I bought four used 12ga Maverick 88's for $380 out the door. They were all very sound and in great shape. The pawn shop just needed to move some inventory so I got a deal. $95 a piece is not too shabby.

Most pawn shops around NW In seem to not want to deal with any firearms.Seem ok for tools, TVs, jewelry, snowblowers, etc. Would like to know if anyone knows of any in NW In who buy/ sell firearms?

I have seen a few "Nobel" brand 12 gauge pumps go on gunbroker for $100 delivered. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about Noble?

I saw a pump shotgun once for 110 it was in very bad shape cosmetically though. I cant remember the brand but it was not a mainstream name. I see single shot shotguns for under 100 alot.

You could apply the $100 you made toward the purchase of a brand new one and you would still have a heck of a deal!

I bought a Ted Williams 200 in great shape in Salem at a gun show 2 years ago for $160.00 it was as close to new as you could get. When I got home I found out that it was actually a Winchester 1200 and the person selling it probably had no idea what it actually was.
