GOA posted a Breaking News Tweet about it on 15 March on their Twitter account
-- including the original source of the letter:

A link in that Tweet is what I believe to be the source of the letter used by others now.

The full letter is on Congressman Mike Thompson's government web site (Democrat, CA 4th District):
    https://mikethompson.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/mikethompson.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/2024_03_13%20GVPTF%20re%20Kennedy%20Amendment%20%28NICS%20VA%29%20FINAL.pdf

He's the first signature at the bottom of the letter . . . and I'd bet the big bucks he's its author.

Downloaded and attached the PDF from the link . . .

The path I followed to get to it . . .

Colion Noir now has a YouTube video on it . . . and it's that Tweet he shows for a split second at the beginning that got me to the source of the letter via a Breitbart article written by AWR Hawkins. Followed the trail of bread crumbs from Colion Noir YouTube, to the Breitbart web site article, to GOA's Twitter to . . . [drum roll] . . . Congressman Mike Thomson's GOV web site.

Breitbart Article (where I found a link to the GOA Tweet displayed above):

All the Usual Suspects signed it including the entire Squad save one -- [drum roll] the Occasional Cortex who is a Social Media Influencer masquerading as a Congresswoman while she does her Social Media Influencing.

    Of course, andre' carson signed.

Most any time there is some piece of **** move such as this, you can bet carson is associated with it. It is the kind of trash crowd he runs with... and only trash would associate with him.

Yes he is, I wrote him a dandy of a letter. Then he sends this,

Dear Mr. spelled my name totally wrong.

Thank you for sending me your concerns about protecting our families and communities from gun violence. Your opinions are essential to my decision-making process as a Member of Congress.

With more gun violence sweeping our nation, we cannot ignore the consequences of weapons falling into the wrong hands. Whether a shooting is prompted by hate, mental instability or terrorism, the result is lives lost unnecessarily under tragic circumstances. This violence shocks our conscience and erodes the spirit of our communities. With mass shootings receiving the most attention, they are not the only stories to be told. Every day, more than 300 people are shot in this county, and our families and communities deserve better.

As an active member of the Congressional Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, I recognize that the United States government must do more to protect American citizens from senseless gun violence. Growing up in Indianapolis, I witnessed the devastation caused by gun violence in and around my neighborhood. I have seen firsthand how this violence destroys lives and harms entire communities. We also face new threats from firearms, like ghost guns, so we must be vigilant in updating our gun laws to address all current threats. That is why I’m working hard in Congress to pass common-sense gun safety reforms that will help to protect our communities. In the 118th Congress, I am proud to be a co-sponsor of multiple bills including: the Assault Weapons Ban; Ethan’s Law; the Safer Neighborhoods Gun Buyback Act of 2023; the Federal Firearm Licensee Act; and the Keep Americans Safe Act. In order to prevent future tragedies before they begin, I have also cosponsored the Identifying Mass Shooters Act to help find those planning mass shootings through social media and online blogs. To maintain and increase the safety of Americans, I have cosponsored the Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act. While I support Hoosier’s Second Amendment right to legally own guns, I am adamant that we must also protect our fellow Americans’ First Amendment right to life and liberty from gun violence.

All Americans — both gun owners and non-gun owners alike — want to keep our communities safe. As a former law enforcement officer, I respect that the Constitution has guaranteed every American has the right bear arms, but I also know that the United States has an unacceptably high level of gun violence that could be prevented. I believe that smart and effective restrictions must be enacted to protect the public without infringing on the Second Amendment rights of all Americans. As your Representative, I make the safety of my constituents a top priority and will continue to advance common-sense gun safety and violence prevention measures.

I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this important issue and I hope you will continue to contact my office regarding this situation and on any future issues. I encourage you to visit my website at http://carson.house.gov where you can view the latest news and updates about pertinent issues and legislation important to you, or follow me on Twitter @RepAndreCarson. As always, my staff and I are here to serve you. Please feel free to contact me if we ever can be of assistance to you.

So I had to write him and tell him why Crime Stats Matter and it isn’t vets causing all the homicides and crime with guns.

What these POS libtards are doing is scandalous! These veterans have risked their lives for our freedoms and this is what the “mucS Bags“ democrat politicians do to these veterans.
Brad Chambers is right! We must smash the status quo and get rid of these morally corrupt lifelong politicians!

I wonder why recruiters are having a hard time filling the ranks? Weird.
It's almost as if there are traitors in our government trying to weaken our nation one brick at a time. Then when all incentive for ordinary citizens to join the military have been crushed, infill the positions with more submissive personnel with the promise of citizenry and free benefits? Or maybe to keep the gates open for any form of insanity to enter and sow chaos across the land? Maybe that's a little conspiratorial, but I wouldn't put that outside the realm of possibility.

    Uh meh,

Its a letter carries no weight of law the VA would have to change policy that’s like steering a battleship. The current head of the VA said keep the VJ picture up. Some underling made that dei decision.

The VA is not bad #45 cleaned house. If you are a veteran and have not filed a VA claim you should you earned it.

I understand the VA has a bad reputation but it’s just like going to regular doctor. They will refer you to local providers for specialist work. The VA has some of the best treatment for PTSD and TBI.

Hell I think you may have hit it right on the nose. Not conspiratorial at all if it correct.

Bracken's "Enemies Trilogy" playing out before our very eyes (in that fictional case, it was foreign troops that were invited in with promises of land and citizenship).

You should have suggested that maybe it's time to "ban" the ones that are overwhelmingly responsible for the shootings instead of taking guns away from law abiding gun owners.

Like @BigRed said Andre Carson page 6 of 8
Total document is 13 pages long if you count the single pages (see the PDF). Andre Carson is the first name at the top of page 10 (of 13). Frank J. Mrvan (Gary and surrounding area) is the last name at the very bottom of the same page. They're the only two I looked for as they're the only two Democrats, and Todd Young is a Senator.

OK, One of the posts I saw had page numbers in the top rt. corner, that’s where I got it from. Just a cursory glance to verify my answer.

Double checked, what I saw was post #7 @tbhausen ‘s posting. I didn’t open the PDF.

It is military veterans who are the best trained. (as a general rule) With so many having had recent combat experience (the last 20+ years) they represent a block of the population to be reconned with, should something kick off. More than most other Americans... it is the veteran who holds deer the freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution. The same Constitution... the left is trying so hard to subvert. It is the veterans who pose the biggest threat to those attempting to strip away those same freedoms, and destroy all that they hold deer, and have given so much to protect.

To accomplish their evil goals... the left needs an unarmed & untrained populace in general.
Taking away the very tools needed, from those most capable to resist this evil, is a good way to help push this evil upon those who would not otherwise stand for it.
