2015 Hillside Shooting Sports 2gun Series

2015 is right around the corner and we would like to announce the creation of a new Series at Hillside Shooting Sports.

HSS 2gun Series

RIFLE/PISTOL SERIES
Modified Indiana Multigun Rules(Divisions stay the same!)

Will be 4 events with a 5th event being a Championship.

TOP 40 Shooters will get an invite to the Championship. Prizes for Division and Match Overall Winners at each event. Bigger prize table for Top 40 at the Championship.

Registration for the Series will open in February. First event in March, Championship in October.

More information will be announced over the next few months as more details are worked out.

Sounds like fun. Get the dates out as quickly as you can for scheduling. For the top 40, do you have to shoot all 4 events or best couple to be invited to the championship?

no i meant shoot, lol. i love shooting shotguns. the reloading of them to keep shooting can get a bit tedious at times

With the number of events, we will be holding one starting March every other month. This allows plenty of space between our events to be able to still compete in the Indiana Multigun Series as well.

To qualify for the Championship(which we may open up to even more shooters depending on turn out), you will be to shoot 3 of the 4 qualifying events.

The 4 qualifying events will have 5-6 stages with the championship having 7. Round counts will be 100/100 for qualifying events, more for the Championship.

This whole idea is to help shooters get into "action shooting sports" but without the presence of the shotgun as that is the most intimidating of the firearms. Not so much the shooting aspect, but the reloading it aspect that drives shooters away. Come get your feet wet with this series and find out what a typical match will be like and then you can jump into 3gun any time!

Also, what would everything think of holding events on Saturday's?

I like the idea of mixing in some Saturdays. Especially if you do it the weekend that you are hosting the INMG match. You could save some setup by carrying a few stages over. I'll come get a hotel and just stay up there for the weekend!

Always wondered why more places don't do Saturdays.
That way you won't interfere with any other matches held on Sundays and hopefully you will have more shooters attend.

Sounds like a lot of fun ! I have shot IDPA a few times and been wanting to start 3gun so this would be a great opportunity to advance a little further without having to purchase as much equipment ....
