    Pulsar just released the RSQ30V in the last year I believe. It is $1800 and worth every penny. 17micron, 384x288 resolution, 50 hz processor. It is everything the higher end thermal is without the ability to video. I used one Friday night and was very impressed. Compared to an ATN for the same money it's not even close.

    I'm ordering one this week.

    My advice is to wait a few months. The rxq30 has 1.6 native magnification which isn't all that great. Pulsar had the Apex which was a great scope but it's been discontinued. Bering Optics is releasing a new scope which should be as good as the Apex was.

    I've got Fri and Sat nights free so I'm going to try and get out at least once. Weather looks good for it! May have to try it out back, heard a bunch howling close by last Sunday.
