I've done that. Not much luck but my hunting time is limited so its difficult to get out 2 nights in a row. I will put a game cam on the carcass so I'll have some idea on traffic.

I saw one laying on 65 northbound around mile 18. Not sure if that adds to the count.

Pulsar just released the RSQ30V in the last year I believe. It is $1800 and worth every penny. 17micron, 384x288 resolution, 50 hz processor. It is everything the higher end thermal is without the ability to video. I used one Friday night and was very impressed. Compared to an ATN for the same money it's not even close.

I'm ordering one this week.

My advice is to wait a few months. The rxq30 has 1.6 native magnification which isn't all that great. Pulsar had the Apex which was a great scope but it's been discontinued. Bering Optics is releasing a new scope which should be as good as the Apex was.

If your weather up there has been anything like down here the last couple of days, that probably has got them sitting tight until it stabilizes a bit. Even our yard critters have been scarce since Wednesday.
