Is 17HMR enough better than .22LR to justify my getting another barrel for my CZ? I know it's flatter and faster, but does that translate into superior results for birding?

My .22LR barrel is lights-out with its favorite load.

I go to local farms and use my air rifles to shoot starlings and pigeons, etc.
