3 Art Project’s (2) WWII Nose Art & (1) Abstract ~ in progress

Hey guys, yeah it’s me again with more art projects for the team review..

This time around, I’ve got 2 going at 50% and 1 in the design phase.. All of them with strong potential, so I just thought I share.. Some of you will like them, so some wont, no biggie.. I only ask that you enjoy the ride..

WWII Nose art:

It all stated out simple enough, an idea, a good stiff drink and a piece of wood..

Here’ s my idea.. I’m thinking of doing something like this.. hey.. we all need to start somewhere.

Happy with the basic layout, I’m cutting away..

Just filling in the blanks to see what I have to work with..

Content with the profile and layout, it now time to lay down my basecoat and start on start on the panels and rivets..

I’m going break things up a bit and start on the pinup.

Well that’s all I got for this project team, I’m figure I’m about 50% complete at this point, I still haven’t figured out what color her hair is going be, I still need add tons of detail, but at least you can see where I’m going / heading.. I’m thinking of calling it:
Long shoot
The First Amendment
Or TBD (open for ideas / suggests)

Abstract Art

Here’s a project that I’m actually really enjoying, my son’s B-day is next week and I decided to make a art piece to compliment his head board / waterbed I made him last year..

I’m such a giver.. hahaha

Anyway I, Started with a piece of wood, laid out my design, drilled my relief holes and just started cutting.

Here’s what it looks like after a few hours of sanding, priming and starting on in on the first color

Second color added

I’m actually adding the red & blue on tonight, then the rest of colors tomorrow (hopefully). Regardless, this must be completed, sealed, and dried by Friday.. Wish me luck.

Here’s an exciting project too.. With the success of the cockpit gun,

I was commissioned to do the same with a M1 .30 Carbine..

Here’s kind of what I’m feeling at this point..

I’m thinking of going with the something like this on the other side..

I love that stuff (the pinups). I've been wanting to get quite a few done from the knee down but I'm not too sure about the tattoo artists around here. I know a handful don't have the skill it would take.

I don't know that I would tart up an M1 carbine (some things are sacred and should be left alone), but the shotgun effing rocks!

Thank you sir.. but it's actually a full-size rifle / shotgun.. 18” barrel

Thank you for the kind words on the shotgun and the advice on the M1, but.. lol.. I’ve got to me and I can just about guarantee you that it will turn out as good, if not better than the shotgun..
