Sharpshooter
I have a Rock River Arms 16” upper with a RRA lower and 2 stage match trigger. I mounted a Bushnell 3 x 9 x 40 elite 3200 scope with Burris 1” high rings. Using Corbon 300 gr. JHP ammunition I was able to shoot 7/8” groups at 100 yds. I started reloading with cheap Remington 300 gr. JHP bullets hoping to achieve good accuracy with this bullet because of their price (I like to shoot allot). I chose Winchester 296 powder with CCI 350 LPMP to work up a load for this rifle. The gun shoots best with 36.5 gr. of powder if I do my part it will shoot 1 ragged hole at 100 yds. I had the opportunity to shoot 220 yds over the weekend; the rest I was using was not the best but still managed to shoot a 3 shot group of 1-3/8”. The bullet should be traveling around 2,000 fps at the muzzle more than enough energy to harvest a deer at 200 yds. These guns are so much fun to shoot, big bore in an AR platform. This is no doubt my favorite rifle.
