You got me curious so I opened up a box of mine. 124 +p. It looks like no sealant at all, even with a magnifying glass.

This is my first batch of HST ammo. I usually run Gold Dot, which all have blue sealant. Maybe Federal is really careful about using their sealant?

I got 147... the box is bigger too.

Or maybe why this is so cheap... maybe a QC issue they think won’t have any real impact on the performance of the product but they didn’t think they should be full price? (100% speculation)

Well I opened all five boxes of 124 +p HST and one has blue around the primers but the rest are either clear or have no coating.

Opened a bod of 135 +p .38 spl gold dots and saw blue. One box of 124 +p GD has blue and one has nothing. Decided at this time I don't care enough to dig out the rest of my SD ammo to check.

It does seem odd, but I doubt it is a problem.

I dropped a reload of mine in the yard, then found it about 6 months later brought it in put in tumbler to clean went out to check if it was still able to fire. It fired. It endured the Indiana Monsoon season. I do not use sealant on my reloads. Kind of makes me wonder if its actually needed.

Anyone know how often they run this sale?
Doesn't appear to be in effect at the moment.
I read somewhere it might be first Wednesdays of the month, but don't know if that's accurate.
    Thanks.

The price was live for a week or so.

They sent out the email before their website was ready for it. I clicked immediately and just kept reloading the page until the webpage was right. Placed a small order.
