I drive by a house where a guy who does parades and has several pieces of military equipment. He has a 5 ton with ring mount, a deuce and a half and a big trailer of some kind.

I was thinking of stopping by and seeing if he would want to display some of his stuff at the event.

Is that an Idea we could use?

    I Pm'ed this,

Since you have volunteered or expressed interest in the past I just wanted you to know that we have a feeler thread up. We do not have a date yet, and we will understand if it conflicts with your schedule.

    Awesome! Thanks you

Seems like we're well on our way as far as having the volunteers needed to put this on again!

Now we wait in the DNR to give their blessing and set a date

I didn't pay attention, but didn't you have pretty good business there last year?
If so, then I say we do it again.

We did. We had a lot of people stop on over and enjoy the display. I think we had a very good representation of the basic firearms from the American Revolution through WWII. We were a bit light on sidearms and modern weapons but that is to be expected. We had plenty of longarms.

I have no problem doing it again.

    Doug

PS - I will also be able to supply bacon cheeseburgers and sides for folks. We can discuss special food for volunteers and DNR staff as the time approaches.

    I'm in again.

PhotoNinja is tentative...Our little one will be 9 months old, so if we can find a sitter she will be in for taking pictures again.

Congratulations on the new member to your family. They grow up so quickly and next thing you know they will be driving.

I think this is just a feeler to see if we'll have enough volunteers.

Later there will probably be a thread on what everyone's donating or bringing.
