This video just goes to show everyone.
Put a camera and microphone in front of someone.
he will say the most stupid things.
My Canik PT is the second and only striker fired hand gun I own.
The only reason I purchased it was because it is SA/DA striker.
I got rid of my Glock because it failed to fire because of the striker spring lost strength.
All my hammer fire. I always have a second chance with pull of the trigger.
I actually proved it to myself the other day.
I forgot to release the decocker. After the second pull of the trigger.
I realized my mistake and fired the round.
If I had a SA only. I would have dumped two good live rounds on the ground.
And no wise cracks about my mistake. That is unless you never made a mistake in your life.
I did recover from my mistake and carried on.

One great reason I like a hammer. When it is sitting for an extended time being ready. The hammer spring is at relaxed tension. When I need it it is at full strength.
There is far less chance of Accidental discharge.

It seems BBI has made the points I find important about a duty weapon.
When you have sweat in your eyes, heart pounding, death grip on the pistol and a human in the sights.
I do not want a 5 lbs trigger!
Striker fired pistols create a situation where a person could fire if bumped or startled. I firmly believe this could be a contributing factor in some of the police shootings we have encountered recently.
Somebody made the great decision to arm the Afghans with the G17 a world class pistol in trained hands.
In the Afgans hands it lead to NDs everywhere they even shot the refrigerator in the transition barracks in Kandahar!
Our ancestors built the 1911,1903, the High Power with safeties used and various DA revolvers in police service for a reason.
John Browning would have most likely put a thumb safety and a grip safety on a striker fired pistol.

Evidently I am not in lock step with Mr. Yeagers thinking. My last 5 handgun purchases were a CZ P-01, Beretta 85, Beretta 92, CZ-83, and a Ruger Single 10. Every one with a hammer. Ironically, the only striker I own is a Luger that really is an antique.
