Yeah, as far as pro sports go they're all overpaid crybabies so I don't get in to the whole team loyalty thing. I make fun of them all. I go to the games with her for the brownie points.

Lol, I’m just messing with you. I was a big reds fan, then a Texas rangers fan. Now I quit watching all sports since they started campaigning for politicians. Get those brownie points however you can, just don’t wear a cubs jersey!

Ketchup is for potato's and possibly on the meatloaf as it bakes.

Good hot dogs (Ball Park/Nathan's), a REAL grill that uses charcoal, grilled to perfection (ok, sometimes singed a bit), and a bun. That's all you need.

If it's raining: chili dogs with diced onions and shredded cheddar.

    One up you here.

Split the dogs and prep for the griddle.

Butter the buns and toast them while you fry up the dogs.

A can of Road house chili heated and seasoned.

Dice up a proper amount of onions....Lots.

Shred up some good cheese to your taste. Cheddar works for me.

Put the buns (2 of them) down open face on the plate.

Put the fried to perfection dogs on the buns. Some decent yellow or deli mustard is next.

    Cover with the chili.

Apply the onions and cheese to your liking.

Put on a bib and knife/fork. Have at it.

I like ketchup (yeah, I said it :draw:), mustard, relish and cheese on my hotdogs. If I'm getting really fancy while camping, I'll wrap them in bacon, cook them over the fire until the bacon is getting crispy (hotdog mignon), then put them in a bun with cheese and about half the normal amount of condiments, wrap the whole thing in foil and toss them on the coals, turning frequently (about every 10 seconds) for a minute or two. Warm, toasty bun, melted cheese... just doesn't get any better than that for a lowly hotdog.

Speaking of mustard... I don't remember the brand right offhand, and I'm too lazy to walk to the fridge to check, but there is a jalapeno mustard that is really good on hotdogs and anything else you put mustard on.

Give it a try. Sounds weird, but the flavors compliment one another.
I've had people try it, and they liked it. They probably don't go out of their way for it.

    And I've been called worse.:)

I have been known to take some good red wine with the right steak and the flavors combine and are amazing. Just not real sure about the cherry's.

OK I have to ask......how did you come on this...????

Are the maraschino cherries marinated in Everclear? Because that would explain a lot. :):

We've done that without splitting the dogs and using Aldis chili no beans....it's surprisingly delicious!

Brother you just have to try it. And you can do your own variation to this. We used to use the Wolfe brand canned chili until we found the road house chunky soup offerings. Yummy.

I used to make nachos with just the plain old Hormel chili. Layer tortilla chips with the chili and cheese and put under the broiler. Obviously the better the chili, the better the (well, anything really) would be. :):

    I honestly can't remember.

But, wine is made from grapes and cherries.

As for hot dogs, I'll eat them just about any way they are served.
