Our gracious host had to bring a gun to a knife event!

There's nothing like getting pumped about some fairly decent knife purchses, just to be told by the 'big dogs' that you brought "letter openers!"

A Jonhsonville over an outdoor fire. Little Ms. Hot Pocket said, "it's like meat heaven."

I guess you really don't notice when blood is mixed with chili.

Sometimes size does matter.

Great weather! Great company! Great event! Fun was had by all and I even got to take home a plate of peanut butter brownies!

Shout out to the Kinnards80 clan (kids and Mom for sure), for showing us a great time.

Ended the day at Bradis and got to meet JohnP82 and LotsofGlocks down from Ft. Wayne.

I definitely don't mind paying good money if something is a quality product. But, when it comes to knives, I see one and it's right at $400 and I can only think, "Man, $100 more and that's a gun!" I will pull the trigger on a couple of custom knives in the future, but it will most likely be from someone local. I'm just a believer in taking care of home and I would rather see my money go to Cubby or someone else who gives great service and produces a top notch product.

Come spring, I dare anyone to call my knives "letter openers!"

Something from the Busse family is probably next on my list, I really liked the look of some of the smaller fixed blades I saw in the pics. Glad to know it went well and hopefully there's another one come spring!

Funny thing now is I got what the wife and kids had.
