What is the story on ADC. Not a knife expert and know nothing about the company.

ADV Tactical (Andre De Villiers) is a South African custom knife designer. He makes both custom and mid-tech designs. He uses high quality materials, and his designs are a little on the "Over Built" side which is very popular right now.

Hey! Those Trailbosses have thumb disks!

    WAIT!

The Gold & Blue . . . those are the colors of my high school. And Notre Dame.

    ARGH!

    Must . . . not . . . succumb . . . to the . . . temptation.

Are they in the same price range as the Medfords?

Slightly less than most Medford knives.

    Trailboss Models - $480.00 each

    Mini Butcher - $450.00

    Ronin - $480.00

    Beast (Blackout) - $525.00

Beast (Satin with Gold Hardware) - $555.00

Note: I have 14 Medford knives coming next week. This includes 3 custom models and some of the new Medford models....I will be the first direct dealer in the U.S. receiving some of these new models.

Really dig those mini butchers. I'm still dreaming of a Strider though. :drama:

    AdV > Medford > Strider !!!

Did I show you my Butcher when I saw you last?

I've never used a Medford, but I've used a couple of AdV knives some. They are amazing slicers even thought they are thick at the spine. The Trailboss in particular lays waste to meat in its path. The key is the blade is wide enough that with the flat grind, it's thin at the edge. Very slicey even though it's not obvious when you see how beefy it is.

You didnt have the AdV when I last saw you. I'm hoping to buy something new once I see what kind of damage the tax man is going to do. I always owe.

Gol durnit Brad, I just fell in love with the Trail Boss with Blue.

If you get one in, text me and we'll have to work out a CC deal with shipping. Still stuck in Louisville until probably mid-late April.

Having handled that Trailboss in the picture, I declare it awesome.

I got to see Fenway's micro Praetorian yesterday too. I swabbed it, sent the kit to the DNA lab, and it came back "Fenway."
