So today in 6th period a announcment comes on. ''Students for your information sharpies are now banned. Since some people have been marking on themselves and we see no real reason to have them they are outlawed. Teachers this doesn't apply to you so you can keep your sharpies. If you are caught with a sharpie you will be suspended and your sharpies will be taken.''

I was like ''How am I suppose to get my high now.''

Their solution is going straight to suspension? A little harsh I would say...

Whats to stop you from doing the same thing with a pen?

Sooner or later, some of the crazy kids are going to figure out that they can get things they don't like banned. They will start attacking each other with books, giving each other paper cuts, and stabbing one another with pencils.

In class everyone was like. ''Are they gonna ban pencils and pens now?''

My teacher said it is the same reason they banned backpacks at our school because someone brought a gun. I asked if they were gonna ban binders we can put a gun in them also. Tomorrow everys binder will be confinscated

Your school must be really safe. Our schools ban things like drugs, including cough drops, weapons and shirts that are not a solid color.

Are you allowed to draw on yourself at home & then go to school? Can you have generic markers?

We have banned pretty much everything. I am gonna go to school with a marker that is exactly like a sharpie but not a SHARPIE!

For several years trapper keepers (like binders) were banned. There for a couple years they weren't allowed to take their backpacks into class either. They have relaxed some things & gotten stupid with others.

I've seen this around here. First time somebody colors outside the lines, everybody gets treated like kindergarteners. Some dumbass peed on the floor in the bathroom at the middle school once, now nobody can go to the bathroom without an escort, and they have to raise their hands and ask permission to dispose their lunch trash. They should be well prepared to line up and walk in an orderly fashion to the gas chamber.

You have some really idiotic teachers and faculty at your school. I'd suggest tuning out, getting by til you graduate, and forgetting everything they said in that place. I suspect you know better, but feel free to pass along that info to your friends.

I think (at least I always hoped) they'd banned the Trapper Keepers because they were annoying. I guess they have velcro now, but I remember the ones back in the 70s, every time we'd get into something, then close up, all the Trapper Keeper geeks would go into this lining up the snap ritual, then SNAP! Always made me want to punch them.

Wasn't there a thread about sharpies a couple months ago that said something along the lines of laws you break every day and not know?

I do not know why kids really need them at school... But right now I am kind of having a small problem of kids writing on the bus seats with them...

Maybe if the kids have enough time to draw and write on them selves they need more work/homework to keep them occupied? Better then banning the sharpies.
