A year ago, I didn't even consider getting an AK type gun, but things have changed some. Been reading magazines and catalogs and the more I learn about these guns, the more I want one. Really like the wood stock and handguard look. However, not really sure what I would do with one other than get it out and look at it occasionally, maybe launch a few rounds down-range, then put it away for awhile. One question I haven't been able to answer is if it is legal to use these for any type of hunting in Indiana. Anyone know?

The 7.62x39 round is NOT deer legal in Indiana.

As far as varmint go I don't think there are any cartridge restrictions for those, but I'm not 100%.

    ....

Just for my understanding of what you are saying. You must have a depredation permit for any of the above, or did that just apply to the deer, while the coyote and squirrel are G2G with 7.62X39?

Just need a depredation for deer

    The other 2, nope.

Although squirrel with an AK probably would be a challenge and a damn good dense background would be a must

I hate to thread-jack, but what's wrong with crows?

Living in the country my whole life, I've developed to hate them.

Loud, eat anything you lay out for other critters, loud, annoying.

I've learned to be a deep sleeper in my life thanks to Atterbury's jets, helicopters, and war games; but the sound of a crow.......one of the worst most god awful sounds and I've woken from many drunken pass outs thanks to them
