Try this page for info. It sounds like you are looking at a post ban ARM or RPM MADDI. These are good guns just less desirable and less valuable than the Steyr made rifles.

just about any ak is worth having, if it functions properly!!!!!!!, little bit steel wool, paint or stain can make a cheapie into a keeper

Thanks to all for info and links. Seller was firm at $700 and I decided to pass due to its overall condition.

Too bad. $700 would be a stretch if it was in perfect condition, in box with all stuff, plus the drum if it was Chinese, and the ammo.

Granted these rifles are getting harder to find, but paying too much is still not a good idea unless the firearm is a very rare piece, which the Maadi ARM is not.

OK, here's what I found out:
Stamped on the left side it says "ARM SEMI AUTOMATIC RIFLE, CALIBER 7.62X39, MAADI COMPANY"
Stamped on the right side it says "A.C.C INT/INTRAC, KNOX TN, EGYPT"
Stamped on the left side below the front sight was an insignia of some sort with "95" inside. (Date code maybe?)
Stamped on the left side were the numbers "AC0070199"
The composite stock had "CHOATE TOOL" stamped on the butt end. He does not have the original wood stock.
Has a flash suppressor mounted on the end of the barrel.
Drum has either a crown or the letter "W" and the numbers "344" stamped on it. He could not tell me how many rounds it holds.
Comes with 640 rounds (32 boxes x 20/box) of ammo, drum, two banana clips and rifle case.
Unknown round count. Everything looks clean but definitely used.

Hope somebody can give me a true range of its value again based on a scale from 1 to 10 conditions.

From the reading I have done. Maadi is considered one of the better AK's. As long as you do not wind up with a Century Arms. I have shot different AK variants, and the Maadi to date in my favorite, and the most accurate.
