I get what you're saying and I didn't have the impression that you were trying to say that Obama was a better option on the 2A. I just wanted to make sure that you weren't under the impression that Romney is everybody gun loving buddy and it seems like you already knew that.

Regarding the NRA. I quit putting as much faith into them after this issue: NRA Openly Floats A Harry Reid Endorsement | RedState The idea that the NRA would put any amount of support behind someone like Harry Reid makes absolutely zero sense to me.

I agree with you on Harry Reid. I know A LOT of others do to. It is probably the worst thing the NRA has done for us and for the NRA name. I understand your frustration.

On the other side of the coin, the NRA is the largest organization fighting for our rights and for that I support them.

Alternatively, there is always the 2A Foundation and a few others that you can support to try to fight this kind of stuff.

I know it is not a perfect world and if it was I would be in my jammies playing Xbox or something being served full taste low fat ice cream and stuff like that. Until then, I will try to do my best to support and fight for what I believe in rather than throwing up my hands. And just to be clear, I am not taking a jab at anyone throwing up their hands, I am just asking people to join me in this fight as best as WE can.

Can someone tell me about him? Please
    -Luke

He's a big fan of Ron Paul and has endorsed him in the past, but has some differences. He's a self made millionaire who was also also a Gov who veto'd just about everything that came to his desk.

In that example, I quit renewing my NRA membership for a while because in my own way I thought that if they saw their number of memberships drop as a result of that that they'd straighten up.

I have the same idea wtih the "R" party this go around except with a vote.

I feel you, I just do not want to throw mine away on this election. Obama is just too much of a snake with the constitution and all of his socialist ideas that I have to vote with someone who has a chance of winning.

I am not really sure who I would pick to be president if I had a magic wand, but I certainly do not want it to be Obama in a second term where he "can be more free after this election" to sign whatever executive orders he wants and further squash and damage our rights.

i think it has already begun. :)

i saw a "mil-spec" 1911 on Armslist and sent the guy an email because i couldn't tell what brand it was ( i thought maybe he edited the logo/SN out). He responded it was an IAC and that the price was $500 firm. I wasn't familiar with these so I googled them. Seems Bud's sells them for about $300. lolz

Why bash Romney? He's not advocating any ban. Obama has just restated his support for a ban.

Which candidate's statement embodies the clear and present danger to your constitutional right to bear arms?

Romney didn't come out and say it but he did say that he'd be for it if both sides wanted it. That would mean to me that he wouldn't have a problem signing off on something as long as antis and the NRA wanted it. While the NRA pumps money towards 2nd issues, they're not really the friends of those that believe in the 2nd how it was written.

Also, you guys have got to stop pretending Willard is some sort of gun enthusiast. His son owns a couple guns and he has shot 1 a few times. He joined the NRA to make it easier to pander for votes. He probably knows less about guns than Obama.

Time to rape and pillage come November

I seriously hope these two idiots dont touch guns in the least bit. It doesnt surprise me the ignorance that surrounds guns. almost 87% of Americans think suppressors are illegal to own, so it doesnt shock me that Romney says autos are illegal. And now people will believe it.

Hopefully they are both true politicians. Hopefully they are just telling people what they want to hear to get votes and wont actually do anything they said they would

I'd be delighted if, in the wake of the Romney victory, everyone became so secure in their possession of their firearms that the demand for new ones plummetted, and everyone stopped buying ammo so the price drops dramaticly... That way, I could swoop in and load up. :D
