Thanks, but I'm not remotely interested in anything with swastikas or Nazi marks on it.
It's more likely at this point I'll get a Springfield Milspec 1911, or maybe the GI Springfield 1911, than a Hi Power.

Thanks BT. I think once I have a 1911 in the fold (a local shop carries the Rock Islands and the Tauruses, which are nearer my price range) I'll look to add a BHP at some point. It's inevitable....

Holy crap. I called about the nickel plated HP and was told that they wanted $999 for it. Is that a fair price? I was also told that guns like that are worth less when they lose their original finish or have been nickel plated.
