    I have too many guns.

I need to thin the herd.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Alot of folks are in the "buy buy buy MOAR" boat, anyone else wish their toolbox as a little more streamlined?

    Yeah, me too!
I have waaay too many guns.
I am thinking about selling quite a few actually, maybe to buy a diamond wedding band for my wife.

I think there is a spy on the board.

There are still some things that I want.

I sometimes think there are things that I have that I don't need (too many 9mm's). But I don't sell or trade them for some reason.

I know deep down that I really only must have:

    1 22lr rifle, 1 12 gauge, 1 9mm pistol, 1 357 revolver, 1 45acp pistol, 1 5.56 rifle, and a 7.62x39 rifle for laughs.

Currently have more than that list and some on the list 3x.

What I'd like to have: + 300 blackout rifle + 308 rifle + 22 revolver + 45acp carbine + 40s+w pistol and carbine + and on and on and on.

If you want to give some away, I'm your man. I'm trying to replace all mine after that tragic boating accident.

    I wih I had your problem ;)
I sold four guns last year to pay off student loans
    Only kept the essentials
.22 rifles that were gifted to me by family
    And my 9mm pistol

    Too many guns?

I guess it's all dependent. I think my brother in law has way too many Star Trek figures. He has one in pack and one out of, and they are all on shelves in one room on the wall. They sit there and do nothing. I guess he enjoys them, or at least he says he does, and they may have investment value. Maybe.

All of my guns, save my newest purchase, have been fired many, many times and have brought myself and my wife much fun and excitement. I plan on getting the new to me 870 this weekend to get familiar with it. I guess if you have so many guns that you don't remember the last time you used one, you may want to evaluate it's value to you and perhaps "thin the ranks." But if you have even 50 guns, and know that sometime in the past year you have fired them all and you enjoy having them, and they all have some kind of use (plinking, hunting, defense, looking awesome at the range :ar15:) , then good on you.

I guess my objective is not to collect guns, and after a certain point you have all the guns you need to get your goals accomplished you know?

All the rest become just static, that need to be cared for, shot, reloaded for, and they really arent helping towards your goals as a shooter.

I thought for sure I wasnt alone in this ... but maybe I am lol.

I don't have too many guns, I just need a larger gun safe.:D Every time I think I might be getting too many guns, I go to my buddies house and look at his collection. He has 3 or 4 gun safes about the size of a refrigerator and he is still buying and trading. My wife must not think I have too many cause she bought me an M&P22 last week.

I wouldn't say I have to many, but I do find myself streamlining my collection, removing odd balls that I never shoot, and standardizing calibers.

For Handguns I have the following requirements:
    .22 target shooter
    Pocket gun
    9mm single stack compact
    9mm double stack compact
    9mm full size
    .38 snub
    .357
    .40
    .44 magnum
    .45 compact
    .45 commander size
    .45 full size
    10mm full size steel frame.
If I ever get all of those niches filled...I will probably find more niches.
