that was never the question you posed. You said most don't know it should be laughed at. Whether he's serious or not is irrelevant as to whether it should be laughed at or not.

If you were in a state like Cali or a city like NYC, I'd think running or walking away from a shooting would be a darned good idea. I certainly wouldn't stick around to talk to their cops about why I had a gun and used it. Here in Indiana, I wouldn't be so reticent to remain at the scene.
