Just wanted to post back here after I finally got to work on my projects tonight. First lower took about an hour and a half. The second and third took less than that combined. Glad I did it myself... thanks for the encouragement.

It definitely feels intimidating at first--but, in the end, it's not rocket science. Looking forward to getting to the uppers tomorrow.
Good deal. There is a certain amount of satisfaction and a feeling of accomplishment when you successfully assemble your own armament and then you come to realize that it wasn't that daunting of a task at all. I've assembled quite a few uppers and lowers of my own and it gets to be a bit addictive.

Aero Precision, Ballistic Advantage barrels, and Midwest hand guards.
All good choices, IMO. I've used Aero Precision and BA barrels in a few assemblies. They should be some nice ARs when you get them done.

Never built one ,but I have assembled four of them and learned how to do my first one watching youtube. Its pretty easy to do if you have the tools.

Well, sorry for the delay--but here they are. For now. In a couple of days they'll be wrapped up and ready to take to the range. First two are in .556. The OD one will have a 20" DMR barrel, the FDE will have a 16" govt profile barrel. The Black will be in 300 BLK... 16" with a suppressor on the way. IMG_0411.jpg

I bought my first AR and ended up spending way too much replacing everything to meet my preferences. If I had it to do over I'd build one from the ground up.
