AR15 Pistol Braces?

I've decided to build my first AR15 pistol (7.62×39). I've already got most of the parts ordered, but I cant decide which brace to go with. Being this is my first build for a pistol AR I'd like to get some first hand knowledge from INGO as to which braces you all use, and like.

I’ve been happy with both the SBA4 and the SBPDW. The SBA3 is one that is often recommend as well.

I've got an SBA3. At the time I bought mine, I watched the sales at various retailers. Seemed at the time the prices fluctuated a lot. Not sure in the current environment what prices are doing.

Braces seem to add a premium compared to stocks due to the avoidance of the tax stamp $$.

SBA3 or SBA4. Whatever you do, stay away from the "Blade" style braces like the Shockwave, especially on a 7.62.

Agreed, blade beat me up on the blowback 9mm AR.

Very similar to the SBA3, but it uses spring steel to keep the flaps closed as opposed to a Velcro strap. Seems pretty good!

I went with the SB PDW on my 7.62x39 build. Quite happy with it!

My bare-bones 5.56x45 pistol has a KAK Shockwave 2.0. I find it decent for this application, however would definitely opt for a different option on anything chambered in a heavier recoiling round.

I have fired a Polish AK pistol with a Tailhook brace that was actually quite nice as well.

Thank you all for your recommendations. Now I'll have to do more research and see which one of these i should get. The SB PDW is going to be the 1st one i check into it looks really good. Then the SBA3 & 4, and the Tailhook and Tipman.

I really like my Talhook Mod 2. No floppy rubber. It’s on my Grendel, so recoil should be very comparable to your 762x39.
