How this corrupt moron keeps getting elected is beyond me. His latest escapade has garnered a $3.75 million dollar bill that the taxpayers of Maricopa County will have to pick up. That runs his total up to about $17 million total that he's managed to force the taxpayers pick up for his incompetence and corruption. No doubt there's more to come. Trumping up charges and falsely arresting people seems to be his calling card. That and killing chickens.

When the government refuses to do part of its stated job - like control who is coming across the border - and this malfeasance coincides with something the voters care about, it creates a situation ripe for exploitation by mountebanks and charlatans...like this one.

"Open Border Libertarians," take note. This is the backlash that happens when part of your agenda is actually implemented.

I know you guys aren't ready for Prime Time yet, but just keep that in mind, in the unlikely event you ever figure out how to get elected.

I've never understood the conflation of open borders with Libertarianism. Open-borders ideology aligns itself more with non-Statism/anarchism, not a principled inside-the-framework political party. As a Libertarian myself - or something akin to one - I recognize that there exist legitimate borders to each and every nation-state, and that structured immigration/emigration is the sole means to preserve and maintain those borders. A nation-state without boundaries is a non-existent nation-state. America already has a very very loose immigration policy, especially as it concerns the ability of foreign nationals of other nation-states to adopt citizenship or to work or to reside here. Try to become a Swiss citizen, or even to reside in Switzerland, where they now utilize an aggressive quota and intake system. Stay in Switzerland for three months or more and you're required to purchase health insurance from a Swiss company.

America's immigration policy is Mickey Mouse, loose to the extreme. To pretend that borders don't exist is to undermine the very existence of the State and to deny the economic reality that is bound to parallel such disregard.

One persons hero is another ones goat. Same is true for people who stand up for what they believe in. I guess some don't really realize what is entailed in standing up to the federal government.

    Roland,

"(Spit, slobber)...oh yeah, Socialist Switzerland, THERE's a good example how to run a free society - they even thought of ObamaCare before Mitt Romney did, way to go, boot-on-your-neck compromiser...(wheeze, pant)..."

But seriously, we need more L's like you...ones who live in reality, and understand that the welfare state is unfortunately already set up, and we can't afford to add more people to it.

If I lived there, I'd vote for him. If he was the Sheriff of Cook County (Chicago) IL.... and I lived there. Hell, I'd vote for him TWICE.

There isn't any conflating happening. Open borders are derived from free market economics.
The confusion is over what exactly is a libertarian. Historically, libertarians have been opposed to borders.
Today, many who are embarrassed to describe themselves as republican or democrat default to describing themselves as libertarian even though their political beliefs are not historically in alignment with libertarianism.

Amazing how many people are OK with a dolt who cost the citizens of his county $17 million (with more likely to come). No wonder we're so ****ed as a country.

    Well, 99.01% of them anyway.
That's about right. Let's see...in the last election half of the voters stayed home. Of the remainder more than half voted for Obama and the remainder of the majority voted for the father of Obamacare. A small minority voted for a good candidate. I'd say the majority of voters in this country are worthy of scorn.
