Those have got to be some of the cutest pictures ever.

Not a father, but my grandpa gave me his single shot .22 when I turned 6.

He hasn't fired it yet; I'm debating whether to make that trip this summer or next. It will have the .22 kit and suppressor in place when he pulls the trigger for the first time.

I bought my sons first gun when he was still in the womb. It was fired for the first time on his fifth birthday. If it was not for the anal laws in illinois I would have let him leave the house with it all by himself at thirteen. He was very proficient and responsible. It is never too early!! Good luck

The day my boy was born I bought him a brand new Colt 22 single action revolver. Had it all picked out and waiting so it would have his birth day on the reciept.

I had it worked out ahead with the store but I guess that would be a good reason to put one on lay away if the day you paid up was the day they counted as the actual sale.

The gun is still like new, only been fired a couple times. He always want to shoot mine so he doesn't have to clean his.:dunno:

Got my son (7) & daughter (9) a Handi Rifle in .357 Mag after they passed the hunter's ed course this past fall. My son shot a doe, daughter couldn't get turned in time on a 10-pt., but she's ready to roll next year. Have since bought a .44 Mag Handi Rifle so they'll both have one to use. My son got a Crickett for Christmas, daughter wanted an American Girl doll instead, though she told me she'd like a Crickett in purple - she's not into pink.

I bought my son an NRA Ruger MKIII .22 for his first birthday in 2004. He is 5 now and shooting his Red Rider with my supervision. He's at least 3 or 4 years from firing a real gun.

I bought my first son a Glock 17 & 19, the day after he was born last year. They are still new on box unfired just oiled. I think no mattter how long it is before he can shoot, they will still go bang. By the way his mom wouldn't let me name him Remington Winchster.

I bought my oldest daughter her 1st rifle on her 7th birthday. Pink cricket .22. She is my favorite shooting buddy, I think I get more excited than she does. Here she is on her birthday just after she opened it last summer.

My youngest (9) wants to deer hunt this year. I'm looking for a single shot 357 so he can start shooting this spring to get ready.
