Barcelona: Van plows into crowd...Two confirmed dead...

The cell responsible for the Barcelona attack allegedly includes an imam who did in an explosion at the bomb-building house. BBC is reporting that, to BBI's point, the imam had spent time in prison where he was linked to some of those responsible for the 2004 Madrid attacks.

The imam had tried to join a mosque in Belgium but

... the elders decided he should not be allowed to preach due to his "radicalised and polarising" approach.
The mosque asked police to perform a background security check but this did not throw up any specific areas of concern.

Sounds like a, perhaps, missed opportunity.

Spanish reports now that the last terrorist has been shot and killed in a suburb of Barcelona. Dude was supposedly wearing a fake bomb belt.

Still mystified at what the appeal is of a fake bomb belt, but whatevs.

I also just heard on the radio that they were planning to blow up the Sagrada Familia.

I heard another talking head saying we just need to accept this as part of the new normal. Get over it.
So this is just a small price to pay to be more inclusive.

Will that talking head make the same claim after immediate family is sacrificed?
