OK, so my question is this: If you first notice trigger discipline and muzzle location, is that a 10 or a 1 on the Freemen scale?

ETA: Is it a 10 point scale?

Have we defined what a Freeman is yet? Is it measured in degrees or in absolute terms? Is a high Freeman score good or bad? Does Freeman indicate that if you have a lot of it, it's better or if the score is low that's bad?

We have to agree on such things before we can decide the best way to measure it.

The Freeman "scale" is that it's basically binary. Something is either perfectly ok (1 Freeman) or absolutely horrible (0 Freemans). There is no grey area, no middle ground, and no room for assessment of variables.

    Examples of "0 Freemans" include:

    • Appendix carry
    • Pocket carry
    • Blue Guns
    • Poptarts shaped like guns
    • "circle beards"
    • "the call of the 300"
    • muzzles not pointed at bullseye

    Examples of "1 Freeman" include:

    • Open carrying a 1911 in dress clothes.
    • Being Kirk Freeman
    • Malfunctioning 870's

The more gun nerdity, the higher the Freeman score.
Hotness has to figure in as some kind of multiplier. If yer gonna go all "Freeman" on a scantily clad jaw-dropping, OMG hot knockout redhead, who is just posing with a prop, displaying not the best trigger discipline, I'd say that's absurdly more gun nerdy than pointing out a real gun owner doing the same thing.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

    (someone had to say it)
