Bobcats in Indiana

We've got bobcats at our property in Pike County in southern Indiana but hopefully no cougars.

No Bobcat this time, just a Cougar. SR37 near Bedford. Spotted by a Deputy.

Normally, any excuse is a good one, but I would hate to see it shot. Would be great if we got some more around here.

Do you know the difference between a bobcat and a cougar? Because it sounds like you're getting the two confused. Bobcats are hardly "big cats".

Cougars aren't technically "big cats" either. While they are large, typically only those in the genus panthera (lion, tiger, jaguar, and leopard) are called "big cats". Those are the four that can roar.

However you are right, bobcats are not big at all. I wouldn't want to run into a pissed off cougar though.

Nah, I already have enough ARs, and other small arms in general to take care of a single vicious animal should I be required to.
