I will be hitting both pistol brace threads since both of them seem to have the mixed up post issue.....hopefully one of these will be noticeable.

It seems that the ATF "withdrawing" the brace reclassification letter may do nothing. It seems that the DOJ still needs to review the letter since it was started and could still rule in line with what the ATF was proposing.

The letter has not been removed from the federal registry and you are still able to make comments. Linky below.....

Federal Register :: Objective Factors for Classifying Weapons with “Stabilizing Braces”

So the question then becomes, was the "withdraw" notification nothing more than a way to get 2nd amendment supporters off the ATF's back?

    Interesting...

According to this video and the document he references (I will have link below) SB Tactical got notification from the ATF in March of 2020 that the SBA3 and SBA4 were not considered braces. It seems they recently stated they had no knowledge of ATF intentions when the public comment letter was posted.

Has SB Tactical lied to us all?

I also find it interesting that based on this letter, the ATF believes that "blade style" braces "discourage" shouldering. So those are OK. I'm sure if we give them 5 minutes, they will change their mind on that too.

A manufacturer lying to keep making money?

The only thing that will truly discourage shouldering a brace is embedding a syringe containing the Coronavirus vaccine.

Blade style braces must be sharpened to discourage shouldering.
