Police: Shooter kills one, then dies at Oregon high school - CNN.com

(CNN) -- Injuries have been reported in a Tuesday morning shooting at a high school near Portland, Oregon, a police representative said.
The shooting happened at about 8 a.m. PT at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, about 12 miles east of Portland, said Sue Strickland of the Troutdale Police Department.
Classes were in session at the time, Strickland said. It wasn't clear how many people were injured, and details about what led to the shooting weren't immediately available.
A couple of SWAT teams responded, Strickland said.
CNN first learned of the shooting through reports on Twitter.

I think they truly believe it can't happen to them because they're so "enlightened". Killings are simply beneath their station in life. It's the "other" people that need to be regulated.

At lunch so I can catch some of this on the news. Shooter is dead, possibly another student, teacher may be injured. No official report. They are not taking questions yet. All speculation at this point. Initial report was shooter was in black, may have had AR-15 and cornered in a bathroom.

More info, this particular high school had security in place. Anyone know if the security stopped the shooter, or prevented further deaths?

Also hearing the reason they have security in place was due to gang activity. The normal talking points on this one are falling apart fast.

Gunman, student dead at Reynolds HIgh, some reports of more gunmen | kgw.com Portland

One student was killed and the shooter was also dead after gunfire broke out inside Reynolds High School in Troutdale Tuesday morning, police said.

Another student said the shooting was in the gymnasium. The gunman ran by him and after the teacher Rispler. He said he saw a gunman patted down by police and arrested though authorities have released few details of the incident.
