Police are giving a briefing on it right now. Shooter was a freshman. 15 year old Jared Michael Paget. Obtained weapons from parent's home. Used an AR-15.

He killed himself when he encountered officers.

So what'd we learn here? 1 - Not a single person screaming about UBC's yesterday knew what they were talking about, as nothing of the sort would have prevented this. And 2 - Good guys with guns prevail.

I'd like to know HOW that 15-year-old scumbag was able to acquire that firearm from the home of the parents.

Won't be surprising if, in the coming days or weeks, we learn that this kid was 'troubled'. If so, it could be that the parents should be held culpable and prosecuted severely for not taking appropriate action, including securing the firearms away from this murderer.
