A lot of great bands already listed, but I can't believe two of the best piano players have not been mentioned: Elton John and Billy Joel. :yesway:

Although he didn't have a huge number of hits like the artists above, Don McLean had two great songs: American Pie and Vincent.

What kind of 70's music? Rock? Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Queen, etc. Southern? Skynyrd, Creedence, etc. Highin' music? Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin. Jeez, there are so many awesome bands that it's impossible to just name a few.

Looks like our boy scutter is a child of the 70's

    Rap SUCKS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    It is not music IMHO

In the 70's they played real instruments and sang in a fashion that at least most of the lyrics could be understood. The worst you would here is a reference to a joint but never smashing a ho or beating down the law.

So lately my taste in music has changed from rap, to more country and 70's-80's...

Not looking for any disco crap either. Cant stand it.

American Pie has been a favorite for a long time (and not the terrible remake by that slut Madonna)..

Lead me to more good music, as the 70's were before my time.

Try this. Go full screen. Turn out the room lights. Crank up the volume. Enjoy!

Floyd deseves an "etc.", Bowie deserves an "etc.", Even Zeppelin deserves an "etc.", but Aerosmith?
    AEROSMITH??
    You need to make amends.

I would have to disagree on the Floyd, they deserve #1 mention in my book.

But we are on the same page with the other 2 you listed....lol

Journey, Kiss, Boston, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Yes, Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Segar, the Cars, Led Zeppelin, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, The Doors, Dire Straits, Eagles, Foreigner, Golden Earing. Sooo much more. Still think the 80's hair metal is better.

Then you must be in your early 40's
*0's metal was OK in some offerings but Poison....really...Disco metal
