So instead of dealing with my wife and the never ending explanation of why I need to order more gun stuff:rolleyes:
can I just have ups bring it to my work? Seems like most ammo websites say no Business deliveries

Ups shipping is cheaper to ship from business to business.
I have never seen a no shipping to another business.

I do it for ammo and expensive stuff that I don't want left on the porch while I'm not home. The receptionist thinks I'm kind of nuts, but other than that there is no problem.

yeah that's the upside. The people at work seem genuinely interested to see what's in the box. Not so much at home.

I have ammo, gun parts, anything and everything delivered to work. As previously stated, shipping from business to business is cheaper than residential delivery. Also, there is always someone in the office to receive the delivery....every day that UPS delivers. Can't say the same for my home and I don't want ammo or other expensive stuff just sitting on my porch for someone to walk off with it.

    .
You may not ship ammunition to your place of employment.

You MAY, however, ship it to mine! :)

I would imagine the answer depends on where you work.

Like, if you work at Barnes & Noble or Starbucks, would you want a case of .308 showing up?

Somebody found a casing on the shop floor at our plant a few months ago and from what I was told, they hit the panic button pretty hard. No telling what would happen is a 1000 round case of 45ACP hit the receiving dock. I'd imagine they'd go into a warp-drive-melt-down-panic.

I have had lots of ammunition delivered to work, but then again, I was working for a small, family-owned company at the time, not someone surnamed 'Corporation'. As mentioned above, depending on the nature of your place of employment, your mileage may vary greatly!

I work for a rather large company here in Indiana and I can't imagine it going over well......Instead of letting it sit on my doorstep, I use my UPS account to keep the shipments at my local hub and go pick it up on my lunch break. Works out well that the hub is only a few blocks from work

I would not try this at my job. I work for the State. My cell phone would be blowing up for a building lock down & IMPD called. Who knows, I might get lucky and have ATF so up. I am one of the Access Control System Admins for the office.

So I am not the only one experiencing these issues with the wife huh? She acts as if she has found a receipt from an escort service when she sees a new firearms related purchase. Pisses me off. I am the only one that works, and do not spend beyond my means.

    Time for an experiment? :runaway:

No, their panic was real. After that event, they were doing lunch bucket checks of everybody coming into/out of the plant for about a week. I don't know what they expected to find. I guess they'd have a better chance of finding people stealing stuff than finding somebody bringing their empty brass into the plant. :n00b:

Go to the UPS site and create an account. Once you have a tracking number, you can redirect the package to your job or a nearby Ups store. I like picking it up at the store because my wife never knows anything unless I tell her.
