    Our video system has captured him screaming toward the door in obvious fear, and apparently unarmed.
    i hope the guy had a sign in his house that stated conversations were being recorded. I believe it is the law that if you record audio it must be clearly posted.

    In Indiana, if one party knows that the conversation is being recorded, then it is legal. Thus, in Indiana, you CAN record a phone conversation or other audio

    As for the second guy, if a reasonable person would believe that he was going to continue the violent crime (ie running outside to get his buddies OR a bigger weapon), then I believe that lethal force is justified.

    This story would not apply to me. I would have dropped them both in the bedroom upstairs before #2 (appropriate) shotgun had a chance to hit the floor. I would have unloaded into both within seconds of each other. Mistake was waiting for #2 to assess the new situation (#1 down) and make a decision to drop his gun and run.
