Chemotherapy patient asked to leave entertainment center - TheIndyChannel.com

Doctors diagnosed the 33-year-old with cancer for a second time after she beat it once in 2008. Bruno is currently bald from the chemo treatments and almost always wears a winter cap to cover her head.
Latitude 360 employees believed Bruno’s knitted hat was in violation of the company's dress code that prohibits skullcaps, bandanas, brimless hats and stocking caps. She was asked to leave.

Exception to the dress code based on medical condition? How does the fact the media picture she posed for is without a hat and showing her bald affect your opinion, if at all?

Seems like they are backpedaling over the bad PR real quick.

    Not far from the tree
Cheese and rice! Let her wear the dam hat.

Speaking of chemo.. . . My mommy goes next Wednesday for a mastectomy. Prayers and good vibrations appreciated. She is 79. Any surgery at that age is major. Sorry for the hi-Jack. Just caught me thinkin about it.:hijack:

I'm gonna guess that policy is aimed at the thug life types.

Here's how it should have went...
Excuse me maam, we have a no hat policy.
    I'm a cancer patient.
Oh, my apologies, let me know if I can do anything to make you more comfortable.

Instead this idiot wanted to exercise his non existing power. What a toolbox.

My mom had cancer. I've seen what it does. Dude needs some sympathy.

Spirit of the rules vs. the letter of the rules.

Chalk this one up to a bunch of wimps who have grown up in zero-tolerance atmospheres...who cannot think for themselves.

However - their place, their rules. Bad form? Sure.

But I'd rather a business be free to practice bad form than to be artificially barred from it by an overreaching Federal or State government.

And some critical thinking skills. Sometimes the rules dont apply.

My dad died from cancer. It will ravage you. I wouldnt wish it even on a MDA harpy. (well, maybe them... )

By all means, let's make a law.

...barring that, let's see if we can ruin a business where a couple of people may a stupid mistake, then did the right thing and apologized for it. They deserve to be bankrupted.

If you're going to draw a line, stand firm. I believe they did the right thing by enforcing their rules. It wasn't the patient's only option.
