I'm not the only person on here interested in Carmel, so I'm kinda hoping if someone has more info than me, they'll post it while I wait and see what else I find out on my side.

Are you going to pull a "longbow" and make us wait until after 9:30 p.m. (on some unspecified day) to reveal your answer?

There's some speculation that the long time city attorney and friend-of-the-mayor is no longer the city attorney.

There's no public acknowledgement of it, though, and it is one of those "its quiet, too quiet" kind of things.

Every cycle there's jockeying for who might fill the void if the mayor doesn't run. And I think he does things to smoke out people who might run against him. So, it is still just speculation.

A few years ago something like this happened and it turned out the city attorney had just taken some personal leave. So, it really could be nothing.
