Some of us actually have “back up guns” that we “occasionally” carry as primary (depending on weather and occasion). Just means wearing a second holster and carrying the back up as intended to me. Am I missing something?

I don’t normally carry a back up (meaning a second weapon), but I do have one I very occasionally carry as primary. I wouldn’t mind using it in a standard stage as a back up. I don’t see any need for another division for it. Just an occasional stage requiring a back up and obviously notice prior to the match so I can wear the back up holster, too.

Used to carry my “back up” as primary until an instructor (who shall remain nameless) got in my head about capacity...and responsibility (another subject for another time). I’ve shot my back up vs my “full size” in a standard CoF and seen the light.

You should. Ask your instructor who shall remain nameless!

But the typical gun fight only requires 3 rounds. A j frame should be plenty. Stats in Indy point to a few rounds only. This should be purple.
