    Home depot has (2) LED metal construction flashlites for around $11
    we buy these 3 or 4 packages at a time. They come with the AAA batts and are very bright and the batts last a good while in these. If you loose one so what.

    Get a Nebo. I recognize at $25 it is not exactly low end but they also work when you go looking for them. Drop it dozens of times without breaking and they run for ever on 3 AAA batteries.

    Gonna drop my cents in. I've got a small 3 AAA cell Nebo with 6 led and a laser pointer. Rugged little thing, I've dropped it in water, its fallen out my pocket onto concrete, I got mad once and chucked it at my garage. Still works.
