Choosing a wishlist 1911

Caveat to my op. AA brought up a point on his thread for a collectible 1911. I think he has a similar mind set. What about building a 1911 from scratch. That would kill my wanting a long term project itch as well. Thoughts on this?

Having done several of these it is a journey. I would suggest it but not doing all of it your self.

That sounds good. It would have to be once life settles down after the holidays. Apparently i have an addictive taste in guns... I feel like this is the next step.
