May thoughts exactly, I want to go at least once. This Christian rally would be a good way to experience the area without the wild and crazy big rally.

yep...this! We rode out to the wild and crazy rally one year. I always said if I went back, I'd want it be without all the craziness. Lots of beautiful riding out there, but too hard to get around and see most of it during the rally. We stayed at the Chip, so we would be close to the big bands, but it was hard to get back in there in the evening, as everyone was coming to see the bands.
