How did some stupid moron get the bright idea that the OK sign is racist?

4chan thought it'd be funny to make random signs racist, so the left would go after people retroactively and eat their own.

The left is too dumb to understand how hard they're being played.

The "it's okay to be white" thing was entirely their doing as well, to play the left so hard that they'd say it isn't okay to be white.
Same with "muslim's are right about women."

It's forcing a deconstruction of their world view in the general public.

It is just sad anyone has their name hijacked, even by society, as a placeholder for political squabbles...

And I thought it went without saying that assumption of a Karen's gender was beyond the pale... LOL

Poindexter approves of this post.

Here's a Caren (actual name)

Well that was entertaining. The YouTube comments were fun to read too.

"Too much talking, not enough tazing."

Caren Z. Turner, a Democratic lobbyist from Tenafly, has resigned as a commissioner from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, after an investigation was opened into what agency officials would only describe as "profoundly disturbing conduct." Turner's resignation allegedly involved her intervention in a recent traffic stop in connection with her daughter. Turner apparently flashed her Port Authority badge in an effort to intercede with police officers on the scene.

I think it would have been hillarious if the officer would have said, "Oh, so you're claiming responsiblity? Then your daughter is free to go. You however are under arrest." :):

It's more complicated than that. The OK sign thing began as a chan joke, but then actual racists started flashing it in photos. Whether they were intending to use it "ironically" or not, that racists were using the OK sign made it a racist sign in actuality.

One group using it differently, doesn't "make it" a racist sign.
If I used the name "Joshua" as a racist word, it doesn't make it racist.

I'm sorry but your opinion is now actually racist.

You should apologize for your blatant racism.

See why that viewpoint doesn't work? Anything can be racist on those terms. You can't extend such a serious label to random things.
They're already discussing trying to get LGBT symbols turned into racist icons.

Your line of reasoning enables that.

And this is why racism went from some kind of red alert word to “oh ho hum, someone’s talking again”, it’s lost all its weight and validity even when it should have some.

I was reading somewhere (I believe fox News comments) someone was saying that using "13%" was racist. Now can someone explain to me what is racist about that? What is 13% I must be slow because I don't get it.

Rep sent actaeon. Come on Joshua, they are doing exactly what a baby does when they throw the spoon on the floor you pick it up and they throw it again. It is time for the people to act like adults and tell the baby to stop it. They hijack a word then get you to, inexplicably, say it is racist. Stop picking up the f*****g spoon...

Roughly the Black/Afr-Am percentage of the US population (13.4% in 2019). Probably has connotations like Romney's 41%, viewed as referential
