Horrific. Le's stop treating guns as toys you know because they are loaded, always.
How about we just start handling guns safely instead? Then we won’t have to pretend they’re loaded all the time. Eliminate “I didn’t think it was loaded” as an excuse by shifting the focus to keeping firearms pointed in a safe direction. ALWAYS.
First rule is first for a reason.
#1 and long recognized as the golden rule of gun handling:
ALWAYS Keep The Gun Pointed In A Safe Direction
Some folks still list this one as #2, but not for any good reasons.
It happens more than we know.
You better treat them as loaded or you will handle them with contempt and people will shoot themselves in the head because they have such low regard for unloaded guns.
First rule is first for a reason.
"I am handling the gun safely, it is unloaded" get people shot, in the head, a lot, just read INGO.
Yup. I doubt that one could go to any gun show without being muzzle-swept a dozen times. But, of course, we know all those guns are unloaded.
