Im a relative newbie to the sport, so this is an honest question- do provisional divisions ever get nixed? I assumed once there were shooters participating the "provisional" aspect of it was really just a time for easy adjustment of rules before locking it in.

The last provisional division was single stack in 2006, I do not think they have ever dumped one.

In my humble experience, the chance that rules will change is directly related to how much money you have already invested.
