I have some experience with that model.
Likewise. This was my son's first gun (that's my boy, a CZ fan out of the gate!), and it's an accurate smoothie. I installed the CGW ultra-lite kit in it and a FO front sight along with some nice LOK G10 grips. It'll shoot and shoot well all day long.

Has anyone had any experience with the CZ 75 compact model?

That was my first CZ. Still have it and was shooting it recently. What a great gun that is.

    This is mine:

Hoosier Armory has a couple in stock. Is this a good iwb size CZ model or would you suggest a different one ?
I really like the SA/DA platform over the humdrum striker guns I currently shoot.

The only issue I've ever heard about the compact, other than the stock sights, is that it is all steel and some people think it is a bit heavy for everyday carry. I carried mine for years with no issues.

Well after I bought my 1911 and started carrying it, I realized that I had to really cinch up that belt a little more.
It's a nice piece to carry. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge about them.

They are solid carry guns but do carry a bit of weight like BA said. The main reason I don’t carry mine is the weight. It’s not a problem and that gun got carried a lot in the early days but I have a P01 that shoots almost as nice but is noticeably lighter. I do think the compact will make its way into my carry routine this summer though.

Went to Point Blank last night to just handle so CZ models.
That 75 compact was just about the nicest gun I've handled. Such great quality.
Too bad it's not an ambidextrous setup or may buy one.
Looked at the P01 and even with the small backstrap on it , the grip was just not that comfortable.

Do you mean the P-07 with the small blackstrap?

My neighbor let me shoot his P01 yesterday.
    Talk about smooth.
His has those rubber grips which gives you such a positive handle on the gun.
If the P07 had that kind of feel, I would buy one.

I have Talon rubber grip tapes on mine and like the feel a lot. It’s not quite as good as the 75B/P01 feel, but quite good none the less.

    Well purchased the P-07 today.
    Basic black and stock sights.
It should be available to go pickup sometime next week.
Now it's time for new sights and a really good kydex holster.
    Suggestions?

I looked for weeks for a good used primo P-07 and finally got one 3 weeks ago.
Enjoyed it right out of the box w/o any changes.
I've had 7 other CZs and enjoy the "medium" size of the P-07.
    Enjoy!

Congrats on your purchase! I have a P-07 and it's my favorite carry gun. It's my go-to if I'm wearing a belt. Here's my recommendations:

For sights: Dawson Precision fiber optic front / blacked out rear sights have worked really well for me. I like them so much I'm getting the same configuration for my P-10c. To buy these sights: https://cajungunworks.com/product/92050-competition-grade-all-steel-sight-set-p-0709-series/

For holster: I personally carry appendix so I can only recommend an appendix holster. I went with L.A.G. Tactical's Krieger holster and it has been awesome. Definitely worth the money. conceals extremely well under a slightly loose fitting t-shirt.

Here's what the holster looks like. The last pic was taken after I changed the original plastic belt attachment to the much slimmer UltiClip which I recommend. Plus added the foam wedge which I'd recommend on any appendix holster.
